Many homeowners invest in improving the look and value of their property — but most do not realize that a City Permit is required for nearly 98% of residential projects. Beginning work without the proper permit can expose you to Code Violations, extra fees, liens, and even property foreclosure. SiteStart Pros helps protect you and your home by securing the correct City Permit before any project begins.
If your property is part of an HOA, we coordinate directly with the HOA planning committee to obtain initial approval before submitting your project to the City. Even if the City approves a project, an HOA denial can stall construction. We streamline the entire process to ensure all authorities — City and HOA — validate your project BEFORE you start, preventing costly delays and compliance issues.
Building without the appropriate permit can lead to Code Violations, penalties, liens, and potential foreclosure — DON’T RISK IT. We can help you stay compliant, protected, and fully approved.
Already in violation?
We can help clear the Code Violation by submitting the
necessary permit paperwork before it's too late!

In construction, the value of time, project management, and proper permit handling is enormous. Many contractors would rather be building than standing in line dealing with paperwork. With our established relationships across multiple City departments, SiteStart Pros can act as your proxy to obtain the required Building Permits and schedule Inspections to keep your project fully compliant. You can stay focused on development — and let us handle the paperwork.
⚠️ WARNING: It can be tempting to take shortcuts with paperwork to save money or rush the permit process, but these shortcuts often lead to delays, denials, and costly corrections. From our experience, following the proper City procedures is the most efficient and reliable path. Stamped plans by licensed engineers are typically required for major remodels, renovations, additions, and absolutely for new construction. Avoid the temptation to bypass requirements. Let us gather all the necessary documentation so you can save time AND money in the long run.
Not sure whether your project needs a permit? Just ask — we can guide you.
Many cities require professional CAD plans before a Building Permit package can be submitted.
With combined years of experience producing drawings for residential and commercial construction projects, our Field Services and CAD Teams collaborate to create site plans, floorplans, elevations, utility plans, and other project‑specific drawings that meet strict City standards.
The first step in creating plans for your project is obtaining accurate measurements of your space — known as Existing Conditions. If you do not have a concept sketch, or if your sketch needs dimensions, our professional Field Services Team can assist. A Field Services
Manager will schedule a site visit, measure the existing project space, and convert field notes into a detailed concept sketch containing all elements required by the CAD Team to produce official plan pages.
When needed, we also collaborate with licensed professional engineers — including Architectural, Structural, Foundation, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) engineers — to provide sealed and/or stamped plans as required by the City.
Need a new Certificate of Occupancy (CO) for your business? We can file all necessary permits, applications, and paperwork to obtain your CO so you can open your business, retail store, restaurant, medical office, or commercial space to the public.
After the Building Permit is issued, that’s when the real work — and the real fun — begins. As construction moves through each phase, the City may require multiple Inspections for critical elements such as framing, foundation, walls, electrical, plumbing, energy compliance, and more.
We understand that General Contractors prefer to stay focused on building, not on managing inspection schedules. That’s why SiteStart Pros handles the entire inspection process on your behalf. We coordinate each subcontractor’s required City Inspection and send confirmation to the General Contractor when the inspection passes (Green Tag). If an inspection fails (Red Tag), we work directly with the subcontractor and the General Contractor to complete all corrections required by the City. We continue coordinating until the project is fully compliant and receives the final Green Tag.
Having our team manage these required site visits with the City Inspector is invaluable to any General Contractor. We serve as a trusted partner, taking on the burden of scheduling, monitoring, and reporting inspection outcomes.
What feels cumbersome and frustrating to others is a level of service in which we excel — ensuring your project stays compliant, efficient, and moving forward.
Effective project management of time and resources is critical to the success of any construction endeavor. With years of experience in construction project management, we can take on as much — or as little — of the process as you need.
Coordinating with key stakeholders, maintaining streamlined communication, and ensuring that every phase of your project stays organized and on schedule is what we do best.
We bring clarity, structure, and professional oversight to your project so you can stay focused on building while we manage the details. Let’s work together and turn your project into a successful, well‑managed, and fully compliant build.
When building on a vacant lot, utilities are not always immediately available. Sometimes they sit at the perimeter within the utility easement or Right‑of‑Way, and other times they may be located several yards away.
We conduct a full utility feasibility study and coordinate with local utility providers to identify the exact location of water/sewer, gas, electric, and telecom services. Our team then designs your project for the most cost‑efficient utility delivery and arranges for service installation to your new building.
In certain cases, our Field Services Team will prepare a detailed Utility Site Plan or request Site Locates to meet all City compliance standards and ensure your project is ready for safe, approved construction.
Our network of construction professionals is extensive — and it grows with every project we complete. If your project requires a contractor, roofer, electrician, solar panel installer, or any other specialized professional, we can likely connect you with a trusted, vetted resource.
Simply let us know what type of expert your project needs, and we will search within our network to find the right professional for you.
Your trust means everything to us, and we are honored to support you with reliable connections that help bring your project to life.
